Ormiston Forge Academy’s students and staff celebrate sixth form results

Celebrations were in full swing at Ormiston Forge Academy as sixth form students received their post-16 results. The academy has seen students achieve great outcomes across both academic and vocational courses after two years of hard work.

The academy saw success across each of the 20 A-level subjects that form Forge’s sixth form curriculum, especially in business, physics, history, law and sociology, as well as in vocational subjects including sport, ICT and travel & tourism.

The whole school community has come together to celebrate these achievements, with many students securing places at their chosen universities, in highly skilled employment, or coveted apprenticeships.

While all students have done well, there have been some standout individual performances. These include:

  • Pavanjit Kooner who successfully achieved three A*s in biology, physics and mathematics, and an A in AS level further maths. Pavanjit has secured a place at the University of Birmingham, where he will study physics and astrophysics.
  • Jack Wills who was awarded an A* in criminology and As in sociology, business and financial studies. Jack has secured a place at the University of Birmingham, where he will study criminology and sociology.
  • Kieran Parkes who obtained 3 Distinction grades in BTEC sport. Kieran will be progressing to the University of Worcester, where he will study PE and sport coaching.

Ormiston Forge Academy is committed to fostering ambition, resilience, and respect in all students, providing an environment where they can thrive both academically and personally. By being part of Ormiston, the academy ensures that every child, regardless of background, is supported to achieve their full potential.

Lisa Mason, Principal said: “Our sixth formers have impressed us with their resilience, drive, and commitment, and today’s results reflect that. Beyond the grades, they have grown into confident, thoughtful young people ready to make their mark in the world. We wish them every success in their future paths and thank our dedicated staff and families for the support that helped make these achievements possible.”
