Changes to how you access your child’s homework and other school information.
We are no longer using the ClassCharts app. You should uninstall it from your devices.
We are now using Arbor who also have a parent app. You can download this from your app store.
You must setup your account via the Arbor website before using the app.
Access https://ormiston-forge-academy.uk.arbor.education/
Select the ‘First time logging in’ option and enter your email address. The one you gave to the school as a point of contact.
Your password/login details will be emailed to you. You should follow those instructions to access your account.
If you have two children in two different schools that use Arbor, you must select the correct school on the login page. The different schools will always open independently. For further information please follow the Arbor help link, How can parents sign up for the Parent Portal or Parent App if they have a child at more than one school using Arbor?
Reporting Absences, Appointments and Lateness.
If you need to contact the academy regarding your child’s absence, to report an appointment, or to provide a reason for lateness, you are now able to upload this directly through your Arbor account by clicking the green ‘Add Absence’ button. This is the quickest and most efficient way for you to provide this information.

Where possible, we kindly ask that medical and other appointments are arranged outside of core academy hours. If your child does need to attend an appointment during the school day, please notify the academy in advance.
Medication During the School Day
If your child requires medication while at school, please complete our Medication Consent Form.
Once completed, you can:
- Save and email the form to: [email protected]
- Or print the form and hand it in at School Reception

A young carer is someone who is under the age of 18 who provides care for a family member or friend who needs assistance due to disability, illness, mental health condition, or addiction.
