Lisa went into secondary teaching in 2003 having previously taught in Further and Higher Education. The move to secondary education has been one of the most rewarding decisions she has ever made as it has given her the opportunity to have a greater impact on the lives of students.
Lisa completed a PhD in Political Economy in 2004 through both the University of Sheffield and University of Wolverhampton.
Lisa has worked at Ormiston Forge Academy since its inception in 2012 and is now Principal. Prior to this, she worked in the predecessor school, The Heathfield Technology College where she was Assistant Head with responsibility for the Sixth Form.
Outside of school, Lisa is actively involved in fundraising and support for children with type 1 diabetes. She is also involved in her local community; as a trustee of a Youth Project and a director of an academy trust. Lisa is a keen runner and a member of her local running club.
