Cashless Catering
As you may be aware Ormiston Forge Academy has introduced an on-line payment system to help reduce administration and cash handling in schools and also to allow pupils to reduce the amount of cash they carry to schools. This is in conjunction with the new Cashless Catering System which is being implemented at present and, at the moment, applies only to school meals.
For school meals, each child will have an account. If they are to take a meal you will be required to top up this account with money. You can access your account via the link below. If you have not yet registered or require your login details, please use our contacts page
How to apply for Free school meals
You can apply online via the link below, your applications will go directly to Sandwell Council and then the outcome is then communicated back to the Academy. Paper applications are also available from the Main reception if you prefer.
Free school meals | Sandwell Council
The Free school meal allowance is currently £2.50 per day. Free school meals balances load onto your child accounts each morning and are only valid for that day. Free school meal balances are not carried forward. Please ensure you encourage your child to use their allowance each day. However, any monies topped up by parents/carers online or by student at the pay point at school do carry forward if unused.
Save money and bring a water bottle!
We have water coolers located around the site as well as two in the canteen which are free for students to use.
£2.50 Meal deals
Our catering team offers a daily ‘Meal Deal’ which is made up of either a hot main/cold option(sandwich/wrap) from the menu as well as either a drink or a dessert/cake/fruit.
