Grace is our Chair of the Student Council and aims to ensure every student’s voice is heard. Following on from the success of being a Prize Giving speaker and winner of the Brian James Community Award for her outstanding contribution to the Forge community and facilitator of our Disability Awareness assemblies last year, Grace knew she wanted to continue to be the driving force behind change, here in the Academy.
Max’s passion for all things student voice stems from his love of generating new ideas that can help the Academy. He has always gone above and beyond in all aspects of Forge life with consistently good behaviour throughout the school day and promoting equality for all which awarded him the Pastoral trophy for Year 10. Following on from his successful participation in Enterprise Club, we know Max will be eager to take a strategic lead to help make positive changes within our community.
Evie decided she wanted to be a part of the student voice team because she loves helping people with any problems they may have. Evie is passionate about being the mouthpiece for student’s ideas, ensuring these ideas reach the right members of staff in order to make positive change.
Erin joined the student voice team to get involved in activities inside and outside of school. Erin is passionate about wanting others to see that it’s never too late to get involved and step out of their comfort zone, just has she did when she volunteered to take part.
Mandipa is our committed Head of Fundraising here at the Academy and her passion for fundraising has been with her since primary school. She’s excited to get stuck in with all things fundraising and charitable giving this year.
Maria Hussain – Year 10 – Public Relations Lead
Maria decided to join the student voice team to spread every student’s voice and their views within the Academy and what effects them outside of school. Maria wants to use her role within Relations and her role as YCC for Sandwell to start seeing wider changes across Academy life.
Liam, a keen member of the team, knew he wanted to be involved in all things student voice to not only spread his own voice but the voices of others too. He has spent the last 4 years as Forge’s eco-council lead and previously has won the ‘Eco Warrior Award’ at the prestigious OAT trust awards. He is passionate about helping others carry out their wants and needs and committed to making the Academy a welcoming and friendly place to be.
A key player in the Student Voice Team, Rhys champions all of our social action projects (most recently in the #We Will Cook project) and always aims to make a positive impact on the school’s environment and surroundings.
Caitlyn is a dedicated member of the student voice team with a passion for creating inclusive communities where everyone can have a voice. Her goal is to help make our student body more accepting whilst celebrating our diversity.
Aneurin’s passion for student voice began in year 10 when he joined the team and began working alongside other students on a variety of projects. Aneurin is determined to ensure, in the role of Strategic Lead, that every student’s voice can be heard.
Mia knew she wanted to be part of the student voice team to champion others who are too scared to speak up and share their opinions. As a confident year 8 student, Mia is not afraid to share what she thinks and help make a difference to help others.
The youngest member of the team, Haroon, is a dedicated year 8 student who values the importance of the student voice team and how it offers opportunities for students to represent their year group. He’s really looking forward to working in the team this year as Head of Enrichment.
