How to Apply

Thank you to everyone who applied by December 22nd 2023 for a place in sixth form. If you were one of the many students who applied in 2023, we will be in contact to inform you of the date of your sixth form interview.

Applications have now reopened for any additional students who wish to join the sixth form in September 2024.  If this applies to you, please complete one of the application forms at the bottom of this page. The following forms can be found:

A level Pathway application form: This is for any student who wishes to take A level subjects, or a combination of A levels and BTEC courses that are equivalent to 1 A level.

What happens after one of the application forms has been submitted?

Once you have submitted an application form you will be invited to attend an interview (parents/carers are welcome to attend the interview also). At the end of the interview, it will be confirmed whether you have been awarded a place in sixth form. It is important to note that, whilst places in sixth form are awarded on the day of interviews, final subject choices cannot be fully confirmed until you have received your GCSE results.

If you are awarded a place in sixth form, we’ll keep in touch with you after your interview with any relevant updates. You’ll be invited to a summer term induction day, during which you’ll get to meet the teachers who will deliver the subjects you’re looking to take and other students who will be joining you in the sixth form. We’ll also give you some transition work to help prepare for the courses you’re looking to take.

If you are interested in joining our sixth form and have any questions, please contact Mr Darren Grimes (Assistant Principal KS5): [email protected]
