SENCO KS3
Hello, my name is Mrs Kirby and I am the KS3 SENCo. I have worked at Forge since 2008. I am also a PSHE teacher. I love helping students to ensure that they are the best that they can be.
I am an enthusiastic member of the SEND team and I enjoy working with students and their families to provide the support that they need to become independent learners.
I enjoy travelling, spending time with my family, and visiting theme parks.

Hi everyone, my name is Mrs Chambers and I am the KS4/5 SENCo. I am also a Design and Technology teacher and have been teaching for almost 10 years. I have been part of the Forge family since February 2020 and I look forward to welcoming you.
I love nothing more than making a difference and seeing students grow in confidence and ability. I feel very lucky to do my job and meeting the students I get to work with.
I love spending time with my family and seeing new corners of the World. I enjoy visiting design exhibitions, learning new crafts and martial arts.
Whole school Intervention Manager
Hello, my name is Mrs D’Mello. My job includes managing our on site alternative provision and pupil support unit. I also manage all of the interventions delivered by the pastoral team. I support the SEN team by liaising with all of our external agencies that offer support in school. Essentially, my job is to make sure that all of the students who need support, get it!
I love being creative and I’m always teaching myself how to do new things- sewing, embroidery, candle making, furniture upcycling- you name it, I have probably tried it!

Hello, my name is Miss Lyttle and I am the SEND Administrator here at Ormiston Forge Academy. I’ve worked at Forge for six months and I am excited to be supporting both the staff and the students in the SEND department.
I’m very patient and always willing to help others, which always makes me happy. I love to go on walks, spending time with my family and learning different languages.

Hello, my name is Miss Edwards and I work in the SEND department here at Ormiston Forge. I run Maths interventions to help students gain confidence in their mathematical abilities. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have worked here for 14 years. We are a great team and work hard with our students so that they can learn and are happy in school.
Spending time with my family is very important to me, I also love taking long walks with my dog, listening to music and watching films.
SEND Interventions Manager
Hello, my name is Miss Moore and I am the SEMH Intervention Lead here at Forge. I started working in the SEND department over four years ago. I work with students to help with their social, emotional and mental health needs. We are a fantastic team, where everyone works together to ensure our students receive the support they need to succeed.
Most of my free time is taken up with after-school activities and going to watch football on the weekend. I like eating out, watching films and visiting new places.

Hello, I’m Mrs Smith and I have worked at Ormiston Forge for 14 years. I work with the SEND department. I have a passion for ensuring all students are happy and successful. Here at Forge we want all students to be resilient, have aspirations and not only respectful towards others but also to themselves.
I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my 3 year old niece who brings me so much enjoyment. I enjoy listening to all genres of music and watching all different kinds of films.
English SEND tutor
Hi my name is Miss Moore and I am the SEND English Tutor here at Ormiston Forge Academy. As part of my job, I support students with their English skills, giving them a little extra help and revision on a one-to-one or small group basis. When I am not tutoring, I am supporting students within mainstream lessons, helping them get the most out of their learning. I also act as a key adult for a small group of children, providing support and reassurance in times of need, always being a friendly and familiar face they can go to.

Hi, my name is Mr Siviter. I worked in Game Development as an Indie Dev and as a Computer Science teacher for 5 years before making the switch to being a teaching assistant. I believe that every student should feel valued and supported in education.
I am a patient and calm person, always happy to help with anything that I can. I enjoy hanging out and gaming with my friends, and occasionally dabble in speedrunning for gaming marathons to raise money for various charities.

Hi, I’m Miss Oakley and I am a Teaching Assistant here at Ormiston forge. I have been here since January, and I am very excited to be here to help make a difference. I have already met so many brilliant children and helped them on their learning journey and the team I work with are amazing.
I believe every child should get the chance to fully understand what they are learning in their lessons and have access to that extra help and support if needed. It’s amazing to see the children’s confidence grow.

I have worked at Ormiston Forge for over two years now and it brings me so much joy to see the difference I can make in my students learning and wellbeing. It is also such a pleasure to provide students with the support and care they deserve. I have a very warm and approachable way about me, and I love having a laugh and joke with the students. One of the best parts of the job is putting a smile on the children’s faces and making them feel safe and supported.
I love to read in my spare time, and I am very passionate about music and the arts. The majority of my time outside of work is spent with my friends and loved ones usually going for food or just out socialising.

Hello, My name is Mrs Hipkiss and I am a Teaching Assistant here at Forge. Before becoming a TA I worked in a Nursery for 11 years as Deputy Manager/ Room Leader. I worked with children and young people with SEND and have always believed that all students should feel safe and have the opportunity to grow. I am a caring and supportive person who will always help with anything I can. I always make sure I make the day enjoyable for the students.
I love spending time with my family when I am not at work. I am creative person and make my own wax melts in my own time, which I love to do.

Hi, my name is Miss Moore. I am a Teaching Assistant and I have worked at Forge for 2 years. Before starting at Forge I worked for nearly 20 years as a Care Assistant for the elderly but wanted a career change that would make a difference. My son came to Forge and was supported by ACCESS (known then as SUCCESS) and I saw the work that took place to support him. I wanted to do the same for other students to really make a difference.
I am a kind, caring and approachable person and want to support students so they can achieve their best. I enjoy drawing, painting and anything that involves Art! I like to make cakes and spend time with my family and friends.

Hello! My name is Miss Tudor, and I am a Teaching Assistant Apprentice here at Ormiston Forge Academy. I help students reach their goals, by supporting them academically and emotionally. I believe having a positive role model around students, can encourage respectful relationships and can also model good behaviour.
Outside of school, family is very important to me. I love to travel, spend time with friends and have two pugs that I love to walk! Any time I have to myself, I like to crochet whilst watching a good boxset!

It is essential that students come to school fully prepared to ensure a productive day of learning. Students are expected to bring a school bag (pouches are not permitted), a pencil case with pencils, pens, ruler, rubber, a scientific calculator and a refillable water bottle. Your support in reinforcing these standards is greatly appreciated.
There are clubs for pupils running at lunchtimes and after school. There are plenty of clubs for pupils to choose from such as: Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Club, Chess Club, Music Jamming Club, Badminton, Football, Computer Club, Nintendo club, Art club and many many more!
Throughout the academic year, departments encourage students to take part in trips. In previous years, the Academy has taken students to places in both the UK and abroad.
Activities week is always a great opportunity to take part in trips like these.
