Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. It reports directly to Parliament and is both independent and impartial. By law it must inspect schools with the aim of providing information to parents, to promote improvement and to hold schools to account.

Their role is to make sure that organisations providing education, training and care services in England do so to a high standard for children and students.

Details on how Ofsted inspects schools and academies can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/being-inspected-as-a-maintained-school-or-academy

The latest Forge Ofsted inspection was in October 2019 and we were judged to be Good. Previous to this, our inspection in March 2016 was also Good.

Parent View

Parental feedback is always important to us and we look for opportunities to engage with all stakeholders to gauge their views. One mechanism for parents to provide feedback to both the Academy and Ofsted is through the Parent View website. To find out more about Parent View please follow this link.
