Important dates, times and arrangements for this week

Dear Forge parents and carers,

with Easter fast approaching I wanted to update you on arrangements and dates.

Own Clothes day:

Friday 31st March will be an “own clothes day” with students allowed to wear their more casual wear for the price of £1. All proceeds will go to our charity of the year The British Red Cross to support their work around the world and more locally. Please remember that whilst it is more casual wear, we expect students to dress sensibly and would not expect to see very short crop tops or skirts.

School dates:

School will close at 1.15pm, as normal, on Friday 31st March for the Easter Holidays.

There are revision sessions over the holiday period for all exam groups. This information has been shared separately.

Monday 17th April is an INSET day and so the school will be closed to students.

We look forward to all students returning on Tuesday 18th April at 8.35 am.

Expectations:

I would like to remind all students and parents of our expectations with regard to uniform – the guidance is very clear about false eyelashes, false nails, shoes, jumpers, length and type of skirt and coats so please ensure that you take the opportunity provided by the Easter holiday to ensure that your child is suitably dressed for our return.

I wish you all the very best of the season and the opportunity that Easter provides of fresh starts, just like the chick emerging from the egg which is a symbol of this time of year in the Christian calendar.
