Sixth Form Induction Day (year 11 students)

As we approach the end of this academic year, and your time as a year 11 student, I would like to invite you to our sixth form summer induction day.

This important event is for all students who have applied for a place in sixth form, together with any new applicants who would now like to apply. The induction day takes place Friday 1st July from 8:40am-1:15pm and will give you the opportunity to find out everything you need to know ahead of official sixth form enrolment in September.

The day will give you the chance to meet the teachers who will deliver the courses you are interested in taking next year. In addition, if you are thinking of making changes to the courses you opted for when completing your initial application to sixth form, you’ll be able to discuss and confirm these changes with staff on the day.

As you are aware, we have a dress code of business dress in our sixth form and I therefore request that you come along to the induction day in business dress. This will enable you to get used to what it’s like preparing for sixth form life each day. If being in full business dress is not possible, I ask that you dress as smartly as possible on the day.

If you are interested in taking part in our football scholarship, you can attend the day wearing sports kit. There will be a training session for all students opting for the scholarship at the end of the induction day, which will finish at 3.30pm.

I look forward to seeing you on Friday 1st July and wish you all the best for any remaining GCSE examinations you have.

Yours faithfully,

Mr D Grimes
