Thursday: Early Finish and Non-Uniform Day

Thursday 1st April is the last day of term. We finish at 1200 and it will be a non-uniform day.

Instead of donating money to a local charity, we ask that each student brings in at least one item for the Black Country Food Bank.

Suggested items:

  • Small bags of sugar
  • Small packets of breakfast cereal
  • Tinned meat: ham, corned beef, etc
  • Ready meals (unrefrigerated)
  • Tinned fish
  • Bottle of cordial/squash
  • 1l cartons long-life fruit juice
  • Tinned potatoes
  • Instant mash packets
  • 1l cartons long-life milk
  • Deodorants
  • Washing-up liquid

All students will be informed of the food bank collection during assemblies and form periods. Please send your child in with items on 1st April only. If we all donated one item, we could make a huge difference to the lives of people in need. During our Christmas collection, you donated 1038.4kgs of food and 31.8kgs of non-food, an incredible amount.

Black Country Foodbank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of 3 days emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. The services provided have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them important breathing space at a time of great need.

ALL items will be collected at the gates of each entrance, they will be transported directly to the food bank on Thursday. We are only able to accept donations on the 1st April 2021.

Term starts again on Tuesday 20th April 2021.

Thank you.
