PRESS RELEASE:Ormiston Forge Academy introduced to Kickz

Pupils from Ormiston Forge Academy had their first taste of The Albion Foundation Kickz multi sports sessions during the Easter Half Term.
Up to 19 mixed gender pupils participated in a range of sports including Football, Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee, Tactical Invasion Games & Rounders.  All participants in attendance displayed a very positive attitude and engaged thoroughly throughout; despite not being familiar with some of the sports.
The groups behaviour and endeavour was rewarded with a player visit from West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Boaz Myhill who answered a range of questions posed by the excited young people. The pupils had the opportunity to take group and individual pictures with Boaz whilst also receiving a signed poster each.
One young person newly arrived to the UK exclaimed “I really liked doing the different sports… I have only ever played football”
Teaching staff at the school were also very complimentary. One senior member emailed, “Can i just say what a wonderful staff team that you have. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with this week the relationships that they have built with the kids has been an absolute pleasure to see”
“I didn’t think she (daughter) would come for the sports today because it was cricket and football, but she was up at 8.30 ready to go. She has absolutely loved it” – Parent
The Albion Foundation Staff thoroughly enjoyed the week and we look forward to working in partnership with the school again during future holiday periods.
