Sixth Form Open Evening

Wednesday 22nd October, 5pm to 7pm

We would like to invite you to our annual sixth form open event, which takes place later this month on Wednesday 22nd October from 5pm to 7pm. The evening will provide you with the opportunity to gain an insight into the courses your child could undertake in sixth form once they have completed their GCSEs.

The sixth form here at Forge is one we are incredibly proud of.

  • With over 20 different subjects to choose from and a range of additional enrichment opportunities
  • we pride ourselves in providing a post-16 curriculum that prepares students for either university or the world of work.
  • 81% of year 13 students who left the sixth form this year have now progressed to university, and the remaining 19% have secured either higher level apprenticeships or employment.
  • The progression of our sixth form students to university or higher-level apprenticeships is above local and national progression rates for post-16 providers.
  • Representatives from a number of local universities will also be in attendance. They will be at hand to provide information regarding the degree courses that students can eventually progress to after completing A level and/or BTEC courses.

We are looking forward to seeing you in person at the event.

Other useful information:

  • No need to book- students and parents can just turn up.
  • There will be a presentation from Assistant Principal Mr Grimes and Principal Dr Mason.
  • Onsite parking will be available throughout the evening.
