Warm Weather Clothing and Early Finish

As our parents know, we always try to make balanced decisions and ensure we are timely in communicating this. If you have any questions or feedback, please message us.

Monday will continue to be a day where students are able to celebrate culture and wear clothing appropriate for this (see poster below). Students that don't participate are able to wear PE kit.
On Monday we will also be finishing at the earlier time of 3.10pm.

Tuesday - all students are able to wear PE kit.

Wednesday (weather returning to normal seasonal temperature) - normal uniform.

Thank you.

#RepYourRoots

What can I wear?
We'd like you to wear something that you feel best represents your roots. This can be traditional cultural wear, sports jerseys, national colours or something a little different that still represents your roots. Students that do not wish to partake can attend in PE kit or uniform. Have a flag? Bring it in with you.

What is happening on the day?
In the canteen at lunchtime 4a and 4b we will have music, free samples of food and drink from around the world and nice celebratory vibes. Samosas will be 50p each. On the yard there will be a number of small games from around the world that you can get involved in.

Why are we doing this?
Did you know we have over 30 different nationalities represented in our Academy and over 100 different nationalities represented including first degree relatives? Cultural celebrations foster respect and open-mindedness for other cultures. Celebrating our differences, as well as our common interests, helps to unite and educate us. To understand others perspectives, to broaden our own, and to fully experience and educate ourselves.
