Year 8 Parents' Evening

We have been working hard to arrange an alternative way to run a parents’ evening and provide you with updates on your child’s progress.

Dear Parents and Carers,

This half term should have seen us host our year 8 Parents’ Evening. Unfortunately, the situation with Covid-19 means that for the safety of all concerned, it is not possible for us to have parents on the Academy site in the way that we usually would.

We have been working hard to arrange an alternative way to run a parents’ evening and provide you with updates on your child’s progress. To this end, reports will be available to view on EduLink from Tuesday 2nd March.

In lieu of a physical parents’ evening, we will instead be running a parental consultation event on Wednesday 3rd March. Year 8 staff will be available on this day for a telephone appointment to discuss your child’s progress with you. There will be three-time periods throughout the day which you will be able to book on EduLink. Class teachers will contact you for a 5-minute appointment. Appointments will be made by phone and occur during the selected time period. Please make sure you are available for the entire time period as teachers may contact you at any time.

In order to ensure that we speak to as many parents as possible appointments, the 5-minute time limit per call has to be adhered to.

The event can be accessed on EduLink by clicking the Parents Evening icon and it is now live to book. If you cannot login to EduLink, please email me directly and I will reset your access. Likewise, if you are having difficulties with booking, please let me know or message us.

Given the logistics of planning for opening in March, we are unable to offer two full clear days for this event. However, if the 3rd March proves a difficult day to arrange an appointment, please let me know and we will endeavour to make alternative arrangements.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Tom Daly
