National Free School Meal Scheme

Free School Meal Vouchers from 18th January 2021

In response to schools being largely closed to most students during the current national lockdown, the national free school meals voucher scheme will soon be available again to provide support to families during term time.

This will be managed centrally by the Department for Education and provided by Edenred. We will be administering this as we have done before. After our experience of the Edenred system last time, where it continually crashed due to the volume of schools accessing it, we will continue with hamper collection next week if they are needed; this will cover any delay to the vouchers next week.

We will be ordering vouchers to cover the period between 18th January to 12th February (4 weeks). The scheme does not cover half term and the last scheduled or activated eCodes should be delivered no later than 10th February. For half term week, we will be in touch nearer the time.
