Non Uniform Day and Food Bank Collection (17th December)

Black Country Foodbank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of 3 days emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed.

Thursday 17th December (last day of term) is non-uniform day. Instead of donating money to a local charity, we ask that each student brings in at least one item for the Black Country Food Bank.

Suggested items:

  • Small bags of sugar
  • Small packets of breakfast cereal
  • Tinned meat: ham, corned beef, etc
  • Ready meals (unrefrigerated)
  • Tinned fish
  • Bottle of cordial/squash
  • 1l cartons long-life fruit juice
  • Tinned potatoes
  • Instant mash packets
  • 1l cartons long-life milk
  • Deodorants
  • Washing-up liquid

All students will be informed of the food bank collection during assemblies and form periods. Please send your child in with items on 17th December only. If we all donated one item, we could make a huge difference to the lives of people in need over Christmas.

Black Country Foodbank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of 3 days emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. The services provided has an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them an important breathing space at a time of great need.

ALL items will be collected on the gates of each entrance by volunteers from the Black Country Food Bank. None of the items will enter the Academy, they will be transported directly to the food bank. We are only able to accept donations on the 17th December 2020.
